This Pentek 155263 RFFE20-BB radial flow iron reduction cartridge is suitable for reducing the presence of dissolved iron in water supplies with concentrations up to three parts per million (ppm) for improved taste, less staining and reduced chance of pipe and water heater damage. It is designed for use with a #20 Pentek Big Blue filter housing (not included) and operates at a maximum temperature of 100 degrees Fahrenheit. It has a lifespan of 26,000 gallons for water supplies with an iron concentration of three ppm and a longer lifespan at lower concentrations. This iron reduction cartridge is suitable for residential and commercial filtration applications, with pre-sediment and post-carbon treatment recommended for best results.
